Freelance Brief Translator
Turn a messy client brief into a scope you can actually quote
Freelance Brief Translator structures a raw, unstructured brief into deliverables, what's in and out of scope, the questions to ask before you commit, and the risks — calibrated to the budget you're working with.
This screenshot is one section of a much longer report
What you're looking at above is a real, relevant slice of the dashboard — not the whole result. Every run also produces a full written report, with every section, source and citation included, which you can export as a PDF at any time from your History. See a real example of that full PDF report →
This app runs on its own and already gives a decent, cited answer by itself. But it's also one of 22 single apps in the suite — chain several of them together from across different groups in a Workflow, and each step hands its findings to the next, producing a deeper result and more data than any one app alone.
Why it works this way
Budget-calibrated scope protection
A low-budget brief gets aggressive out-of-scope protection; a high-budget one gets room for premium deliverables — the same raw brief produces a different, appropriately-weighted scope depending on what's declared.
The questions you should ask before you commit
A clarifying-questions list is surfaced explicitly alongside the scope — the gaps in the brief you should close with the client before quoting, not something left for you to spot yourself.
Three formats from one brief
The same structured scope, ready as a client-facing proposal, an internal working note, or a quick quote — pick the format for who's reading it.
Every risk comes with its own mitigation, not just a warning — and like every app on Opis App Hub, the read rates its own confidence rather than presenting one uniformly certain scope.
How it works
Shape the scope to the budget
Budget Tier changes how the gating works — a low-budget brief gets a tighter out-of-scope list to protect your margin, while a high-budget one surfaces premium deliverables worth quoting for. Leave it blank if you don't know yet.
Chain it into something bigger
This app runs standalone — it isn't a step inside one of the multi-app Workflows. It's built to be the first thing you run the moment a messy brief lands in your inbox.
What to put in the boxes
- BriefRequired
- Paste the client's brief as they gave it to you — messy, informal, incomplete is fine. That's exactly what this untangles.
- DisciplineRequired
- Design / Development / Writing / Marketing / Consulting / Other — shapes what counts as a deliverable and what belongs out of scope.
- Budget TierOptional — under "Sharpen"
- Low / Medium / High. Low budgets need aggressive out-of-scope protection; high budgets invite premium deliverables you might otherwise leave off the table.
Good to know
- Nothing here is final — you can correct assumptions, resolve ambiguities, and re-run a refined pass.
- The clarifying questions are the most valuable output — ask them before you quote, not after.
- Leave Budget Tier blank for a balanced scope that doesn't lean either way.
Built-in tutorial
Every app opens with a real, built-in tutorial covering how it works, use cases and tips for getting a sharper result — shown automatically the first time, and updated periodically by the Opis team as the tool evolves. Dismiss it per app, or turn tutorials off entirely in Settings.
Delivery integrations
Export any result as PDF, Word, HTML, Markdown, or plain text, and send it directly via Email, Telegram, Slack, Discord, Zapier, Make, n8n.
Once a report is generated, translate it into any of 64 languages with high-accuracy transcreation — not literal machine translation.
The system first reads authoritative publications in the target language for this industry to calibrate tone and terminology, then renders the report to that standard. Both the original and the converted version persist — toggle or export either one, and change the target language any time.
Pricing
Included in the App Hub plan — App Hub £19.99/month unlocks this app and every other app in the suite at this tier, plus a bring-your-own-API-key option. Not a separate charge per app. No free tier.
