PESTEL Analysis
See the forces outside your control before they hit
PESTEL Analysis reads the Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Environmental and Legal landscape around your move — sharpened to how you actually operate, with real UK statistics behind it where they exist.
This screenshot is one section of a much longer report
What you're looking at above is a real, relevant slice of the dashboard — not the whole result. Every run also produces a full written report, with every section, source and citation included, which you can export as a PDF at any time from your History. See a real example of that full PDF report →
This app runs on its own and already gives a decent, cited answer by itself. But it's also one of 22 single apps in the suite — chain several of them together from across different groups in a Workflow, and each step hands its findings to the next, producing a deeper result and more data than any one app alone.
Why it works this way
Sharpened to how you actually operate
Local manufacturing, import/export, digital/SaaS and services face very different Legal and Environmental exposure — declaring your operational mode steers the whole analysis toward the factors that actually apply to you, not a generic six-box template.
Real local statistics, or an honest gap
A UK market unlocks real national or local official statistics behind the analysis. A market outside the UK gets none of that layer — deliberately, rather than an invented number standing in for real data.
Two lenses on one run
The same analysis read from an Executive and a Policy maker perspective — the operational read and the regulatory read, from one run.
Every factor rates its own confidence and lists what it couldn't determine — this is one of the apps that runs ungrounded by design (no live web search), so it's honest about relying on general knowledge rather than dressing that up as certainty.
How it works
Shape it to how you operate
PESTEL means something different to a manufacturer than to a SaaS company in the same market. Operational Mode tells the engine which lens to grade each factor through, so Legal and Environmental read against your real exposure instead of the market in the abstract.
Chain it into something bigger
PESTEL is the middle step in Market Entry (Research → this PESTEL → SWOT) — a full go/no-go read on entering a new market. Run it standalone for a quick macro check, or launch it from the Market Entry workflow for the complete picture.
What to put in the boxes
- MarketRequired
- The market you're assessing, e.g. "UK retail banking" or "Germany". Also doubles as the geography for real official statistics when it's a UK area.
- Time HorizonRequired
- Short / medium / long — how far out you're planning. Legal and technological shifts that don't matter this quarter can dominate a five-year view.
- Operational ModeOptional — under "Sharpen"
- Local manufacturing / import-export / digital-SaaS / services. Legal and environmental exposure differ enormously by mode — this keeps the factors relevant to how you actually work, not a generic reading of the market.
Good to know
- Nothing here is final — you can correct assumptions and resolve ambiguities, then re-run a refined pass.
- This one's ungrounded prose (no live source search) — it's reasoning over the market and mode you describe, not a citations-backed audit.
- Leave Operational Mode blank for a general read across how the market affects any kind of operator.
Built-in tutorial
Every app opens with a real, built-in tutorial covering how it works, use cases and tips for getting a sharper result — shown automatically the first time, and updated periodically by the Opis team as the tool evolves. Dismiss it per app, or turn tutorials off entirely in Settings.
Delivery integrations
Export any result as PDF, Word, HTML, Markdown, or plain text, and send it directly via Email, Telegram, Slack, Discord, Zapier, Make, n8n.
Once a report is generated, translate it into any of 64 languages with high-accuracy transcreation — not literal machine translation.
The system first reads authoritative publications in the target language for this industry to calibrate tone and terminology, then renders the report to that standard. Both the original and the converted version persist — toggle or export either one, and change the target language any time.
Pricing
Included in the App Hub plan — App Hub £19.99/month unlocks this app and every other app in the suite at this tier, plus a bring-your-own-API-key option. Not a separate charge per app. No free tier.
